Esther & Jim’s Crear Wedding
Crear Weddings, Venue in Tarbert, Argyll.
Crear has been somewhere I’ve admired from a far and keen to visit, with the views of Jura and rural walking routes it’s a cracker! I was delighted when Esther and Jim asked me to be their photographer for the beautifully creative DIY Wedding day that they had organised. Crear did not disappoint, the weather was perfect for me. The diffused light flooded in the large windows allowing me to create a document I wished for.
South Knapdale Parish Church was perfect for sharing your vows, a small, personal venue for a religious ceremony. It was full of quirky features and a lovely driveway to lead you to the beginning of your life together.
Esther and Jim were a dream to work with, from wanting to stop off at many great spots for the couple photographs to allowing me to create special moments. When I approach a wedding my aim is to find those unique areas to photograph, I was so chuffed when I found the perfect spot at Crear. I think the staff member thought I had gone mad, when I asked to get access to a barn used for storage. I think it was worth it.
I was lucky enough to taste the food, wow it was great! I think that was the general impression around the guests. Jim Jam Ceilidh Band really got the evening celebrations off to a great start, a folk band sounds great with the acoustic room at Crear.
This one was a real favourite of mine, perfect for my documentary photography approach. If I get anything like this for next years wedding season I will be delighted! A big thanks to Esther and Jim for the opportunity! Here is how I documented the day.
My aim, as a professional photographer is to present you with a special storybook that carefully and artfully interweaves each special memory that you’ll look back on fondly for a lifetime.
As a documentary wedding photographer, I won’t ask you to repeat parts of your big day or get you to pose for the camera. Instead, I’ll act as a guest at your wedding, using my camera lens to capture those perfect moments that go unnoticed on the day but showcase the true beauty of a wedding.
